14. Remove the remaining two bolts and washers
retaining the jackshaft assembly to the rear deck
bracket (Fig. 499).

11. Lower the mower deck to the lowest cutting position.
12. Remove the right and left mower drive belts from the
jackshaft pulley.
13. Remove the two bolts and washers retaining the
jackshaft belt guide and the jackshaft assembly to
the rear mower bracket (Fig. 498).

15. Remove the jackshaft assembly from the mower
deck (Fig. 500).

Reverse the order of removal.
Note: The four washers holding the jackshaft
assembly are Belleville washers. Make sure
the cup side of the washers are facing the
mower bracket before tightening.
