ELECTRICAL
The fuel lter water sensor activates when too much
water has accumulated in the water separator fuel lter.
A warning light on the control panel indicates the need
for fuel lter service.
FUEL FILTER SENSOR
Purpose

The fuel lter, with the fuel lter sensor, is located under
the seat, on the left side of the unit. The fuel lter sensor
is located under the fuel lter (Fig. 383).
How It Works

The fuel lter sensor is a oat type switch. Water is
heavier than fuel and when water accumulates in the
base of the sensor, a oat raises and closes off a set
of contacts. This completes the ground to the indicator
light located on the control panel (Fig. 384).
1. There are two wires located at the bottom of the fuel
lter sensor.
