The ignition input may be used to backlit the display continuously and
independently of any key operations, by specific setting (select Auto) of
the backlight parameter of the User menu.
2. A capacitive touch keyboard with 8 keys, 6 on the display and 2 on the
side.
These 8 keys have different functions, refer to “Print Menu,” p. 30 and
“Service Menu,” p. 37 for more details.
The display shows all enabled channels to 0.1 degree resolution together
with text which indicate the current state of each enabled on/ off input. If 3 or
less inputs are enabled, the display will change to show in bigger format this
information.
The display also include a recording indicator (in most case the recording is
ON) and an alarm sign if an alarm is present (temperature out of range or
digital input state). See “Alarm Menu,” p. 35.
The current date and time is also always present on the display.
Printer
The TouchLog printer mechanism is of thermal type. The printing width is 44
mm wide, 384 pixel and the thermal paper rolls dimensions is the standard
57.5 mm, 28 mm of outer diameter, 8 m of paper, usually used in digital
tachographs.
If paper gets jammed, the printer mechanism will protect itself with an
internal protection device.
If the printer runs out of paper, it will stop printing and retain the data, a clear
indication on the display will indicate the paper missing situation. When
paper presence is restored, the printer will start printing again the ticket
