Establishing the Connection
Use Wintrac version 5.7.1 or above. Using Wintrac the user can update the
settings of the TouchLog (Trailer Id, Customer name, Sensor description,...)
and can perform full or date based downloads.
NNoottee:: In the case that Wintrac does not recognise your TouchLog, you may
need to download the drivers. These are available from ESA
InfoCentral/Technical Publications/Telematics/Downloads.
See “Wintrac not Establishing a Connection with Your TouchLog,” p. 62 for
more details.
Through the user menu, the user will find the Wintrac icon that
defines the connection for the USB port. By default it’s enabled.
After that, all the operations are done in Wintrac.
Click on the settings button in the Wintrac main Window or Select
the setting option (Global Settings) in the View Menu
In order to select the correct COM port, click on the Communication Tab.
Select the COM port number which corresponds to the port where the
TouchLog is connected to the Laptop/PC. By default, the TouchLog is
connected to the COM5 Port. See “Wintrac not Establishing a Connection
with Your TouchLog,” p. 62 for more details.
