Specifications
TouchLog temperature recorders are designed to meet the requirements of
EN12830 and other national requirements to support the objectives of
directives 37/2005 usually known as the Quick Frozen Food Directive.
Type of Application
• Suitable for recording storage temperatures.
• Suitable for recording transport temperatures.
Measuring Range
• Certified range -30 °C to +30 °C
• Available range -40 °C to +70 °C
Autonomous Power
Ply Carbon-mono fluoride Lithium (BR technology) battery gives 5 years
unpowered retention of data and time/date at a maximum ambient
temperature of 70°C. This battery is to ensure data are kept in the flash
memory, not to power the TouchLog. The battery is not user replaceable.
Protection
IP66 for Trailer models (IP 65 before April 2016), IP20 for Rigid models. The
recorder for both installation is protected to IP20 standard.
In the event of the printer being subject to drips or spillage, it should be
allowed to dry out before use. At extreme ambient temperatures, an
algorithm has been put in place to protect the printer:
• At high ambient temperatures (above 45ºC), the TouchLog will stop for
around 30 seconds in the middle of the printout – and then resume
printing. This is required to allow the printing mechanism to cool down.
• Also at low ambient temperatures (under -10ºC), the responsiveness of
the touchscreen is affected.
The user will notice that the response time of the touchscreen could be
delayed by 1 or 2 seconds - The user needs to wait those 2 seconds for the
screen to refresh.
