TracKing protocol is selected. Alternatively, this COM port can be used as an
interface to a 3rd party communication device (Modbus protocol).
The second and third serial ports S2 and S3 are present only in the TouchLog
premium version. The main function of S2 and S3 is to connect the
refrigeration units to read the Set point information. Connecting the S2 and
S3 directly to the controller (currently with SR-2/ SR-3 models), the
TouchLog displays the Set Point of every model to compare the independent
temperature readings from the TouchLog versus the Set temperature of the
refrigeration unit. The cable used to establish the connection (spn 401230) is
part of the kit and further information regarding the setup is provided in the
installation manual.
Trailer vs Truck Installation
This choice allows the user to specify for which type of
application the TouchLog has been mounted. By selecting either
the DIN version or the Trailer box logo, the related certificate
information will be displayed in the Quick info menu.
Glossary Menu
This menu enables the user to load glossary file (.glo) that
includes translated data strings of the TouchLog menu. Currently
18 glossary files are pre-loaded into the TouchLog memory,
meaning the user interface can be read in one of these 18
available languages once selected in the “Language,” p. 33.
NNoottee:: Cyrillic languages are not supported by the printer module
manufacturer, so languages like Russian or Greek in this
format are not available for the TouchLog range.
Adjusting the Time and Date
The time and date are factory set to CET (GMT +1) prior to
despatch from the factory. Once set, the Date shouldn’t need
adjusting during the lifetime of the recorder. The clock includes
automatic adjustment for winter/summer time. This
automatically adds one hour to the set time between 2:00 a.m. on
the last Sunday in March and 2:00 a.m. on the last Sunday in
October (see “Daylight Saving Time Set,” p. 34).
