There is a comprehensive alarm menu in order to setup temperature out of
range alarms, see the details below:
Alarm Menu
Description
Temperature range:
This menu allows selecting the upper and lower limit (max
and min temperature) for each analogue input in order to
maintain a close temperature control.
Alarm buzzer:
Based on the temperature threshold setup in the
temperature range menu, a buzzer can be triggered to alert
the driver/operator, that the temperature is outside the
desired range. The buzzer can be disabled (time set at 0
minute) or activated for a period between 1 and 60 minutes
in case of temperature out of range or door opened. The
buzzer alarm can be cleared manually by touching the screen
or automatically if the temperature is getting back within the
defined range.
Alarm output time:
Similarly to the buzzer setup, the same parameters are
present for a digital output linked to the alarm notification.
Unless the alarm is cleared manually, this parameter
determine how long the alarm will be present in case of the
temperature is out of range or a door is opened.
Alarm polarity for
digital output:
In the case the alarm is setup with a digital output, this
setting will allow you to define the correspondence. If the
polarity is positive, then the digital output is only triggered if
an alarm is present and for the specified time (alarm output
time). If it is negative, then it is always triggered unless
there is an alarm. For example in the case of a door alarm, if
polarity positive (open/open), then the alarm is triggered
when the door is open, and in the case of reverse polarity
(open/closed), then the alarm is triggered when the door is
closed.
Alarm reset mode:
This menu allows the user either to cancel the alarm
manually or automatically, meaning the alarm will be
stopped only if the temperature goes back within the defined
range.
Alarm delay:
This function applies to both the buzzer and the digital output
to enable a delay time before the alarm is activated. This
parameter can be defined for both the temperature out of
range and door opening alarms. That could be particularly
useful to avoid unnecessary alarms when doors are open. By
applying this delay (i.e.10 minutes), the temperature can get
back within range before triggering an alarm.
