REPLACING
VALVE
GUIDES, BUSHINGS AND BEARINGS
REPLACING VALVES GUIDES
1.
Prepare the necessary tool as shown
in
Fig
(A).
2.
Press out the used valve guide from the cylinder head's lower end.
3.
Apply engine oil
to
the outer surface of the new valve guide; press fit the valve guide from the
upper end of the cylinder head until the flange part of the valve guide contacts the cylinder
head.
4.
After press-fitting, finish the valve guide
by
means of reemer machining to dimensions shown
in
Figs.
(B)
and (C).
NOTE~
Be
careful not to strike valve guides with a hammer, during replacement.

see that the rocker arm hole matches the bushing hole.
