Removing and Replacing the DRD12 Rain Detector
To remove the DRD12, do the following:
1. Remove the two nuts of the assembly clamp. Refer to Figure 35
below. The DRD12 Rain Detector is attached to the crossarm
with its cable only.
2. Detach the windshield by loosening the bolt.
3. Remove the cover of the DRD12 unit by loosening the four
screws.
4. Loosen the hexagon nut of the cable feedthrough and detach the
wires from the screw terminal inside the DRD12 unit. Then pull
the DRD12 cable out of the unit.
5. Deliver the entire DRD12 unit to Vaisala.
