ATTACH A NEW IR WINdOW
4. Remove the protective covering from both sides of the new IR window.
5. Slide the new IR window into the slot on the top cover.

6. Apply a thin line of Loctite Bonder 422 along the two long, interior‑facing edges of the IR window.
ATTACH AddITIONAL COMPONENTS
When you replace the top cover of a BVI3000 console, the battery contacts, battery eject button, printer,
window, and buttons from the original console are frequently reusable. If the components are in good
working order and conform to the Workmanship Standards on page74, reuse these components in the
following steps.
7. Reuse or replace the window and buttons according to the instructions in the procedure Replace the
Window or Buttons on page40.
8. Reuse or replace the printer according to the instructions in the procedure Service the Printer on
page42.
9. Reuse or replace the battery contacts according to the instructions in the procedure Replace the Battery
Contacts on page46.
10. Reuse or replace the battery eject button according to the instructions in the procedure Replace the
Battery Eject Button on page48.
11. Complete any additional repairs to the console, and then reassemble the console according the
procedure Reassemble the Console on page54.
