PROCEdURE 17. REPLACE THE HIdE OR PRINTER dOOR

1. Complete the procedure Disassemble the Console on page32.
2. Remove the printer door from the hide.
3. On the top cover, if necessary, use a file in order to reduce the plastic area that comes in contact with the
printer door when the printer door is open.
Note: Failure to sufficiently reduce the thickness of this plastic can cause the printer door to become
stuck in the open position.
4. Place the original or new hide with the interior facing up.
5. Insert the original or new printer door into the hide so that the door is recessed behind the hide. Ensure
that the two tabs on the back of the door are facing up and are closest to the center of the hide, and
then slide the door partially closed.
6. Complete any additional repairs to the console, and then reassemble the console according the
procedure Reassemble the Console on page54.
