PROBE REPAIR
You may only perform service on the probe if the probe tailcone is secured with screws on the top of
tailcone. If the probe tailcone is secured with (3) screws on the side of the tailcone, then the probe must
be replaced.

IMPORTANT
This section contains instructions for replacing the tailcone or a switch overlay on a BVI3000 probe. The rest
of the probe is not serviceable by Service Partners. For a list of available probe parts, see Part Numbers on
page87.
This section consists of the following procedures:
• Replace the Probe Tailcone
• Program the Tailcone
• Update the Probe ID
After replacing the tailcone, continue to the Annual Certification on page6.
