7. Install the allen head brake pad pins. [Fig. 11] (removed in step 5)
Make sure the pads are installed correctly against the retaining ring.
Torque the pins down.
TORQUE: 13 ft-lbs (8 Nm)
8. Apply the front brake lever until pressure builds.
Rear Brake Pad Replacement
1. Remove the rear axle. [See Rear wheel replacement section for
instruction]
2. Slide the rear caliper [Fig. 12] out from between the swingarm and
the rear wheel.
3. Push the caliper pistons all the way in, to remove the existing pads
and allow for new pads to be installed.
4. Loosen and remove the brake pad pin from the rear of the caliper.
5. Remove the worn pads and replace them with new pads.
6. Reinstall the brake pad pins and torque down.
TORQUE: 13 ft-lbs (8 Nm)
7. Apply the rear brake lever until pressure builds.
Spring Preload Adjustment
The spring preload adjustment allows you to fine-tune your suspension to
match your weight and riding preferences, ensuring optimal performance
and comfort on your off-road motorcycle.
To adjust the spring preload, you will need a spanner wrench.
