Procedures
This chapter outlines the steps to prepare both degasser and sparge-based 2690
Separations Modules for operation using Waters-recommended procedures. Flow charts
provide the sequence of steps to prime, equilibrate, and purge a Separations Module that
is in one of the following states:
A new or dry Separations Module
A Separations Module that has been turned off or left idle with no flow
A Separations Module that requires a solvent change, such as from a buffered
solvent to an organic solvent
For step-by-step instructions on how to use Direct Functions to prime, equilibrate, and
purge your Separations Module, refer to the
Waters 2690 Separations Module Operator’s
Guide
, Chapter 4, Section 4.4, Performing Direct Functions.
Note:
All flow chart references in this chapter refer to sections or figures in the Waters
2690 Separations Module Operator’s Guide.
