30 Making Electrical Connections to the 600 Controller

AC Power Connector
Provides electrical power to the 600E system. For details on connecting AC power, refer
to Section 3.2, Attaching the Pump Interface Cable and Power Cord.
Pump Interface Connector
Enables the 600 controller and 600E pump to communicate with each other. The pump
interface connector also provides power to the 600E pump. For details on connecting the
600 controller and 600E pump, refer to Section 3.2, Attaching the Pump Interface Cable
and Power Cord.
IEEE-488 Interface Connector
Enables the 600 controller to communicate with external IEEE-488 devices. The use of
the IEEE-488 interface in the 600 controller differs depending on whether you are:
• Controlling the 600E system from a data system (such as Empower or Millennium
®
Chromatography Manager)
• Using the 600E system as a PowerLine™ Controller to control external detectors
and autosamplers through the IEEE-488 bus
