REP 14.7 Platen Pulley Assembly (4265)

Removal
WARNING
Switch off the electricity to the machine. Disconnect the power cord from the customer
supply while performing tasks that do not need electricity. Electricity can cause death or
injury. Moving parts can cause injury.
1. Remove the Upper Platen by performing the first three steps of (REP 14.4) Scanner Com-
ponents.
2. Remove the long timing belt from the Platen Pulley Assembly (Figure 1).

Replacement
1. Reinstallation is the reverse of the Removal procedure.

Press inward on the Platen Pulley
Assembly to release the belt tension.

Remove the belt from the two pul-
leys.

Remove the spring.

Move the Pulley Assembly inward
slightly, then lift it out of the
machine.
