Fax Overview
Fax capability is available as an option for the WorkCentre 7425/7428/7435. The printer can send a fax
in one of three ways:
• Fax: The document is scanned and sent directly to a fax machine (phone number) using a
telephone line connected to the printer.
• Server Fax: The document is scanned and sent through an Ethernet network to a fax server with its
own telephone connections (phone number). A telephone line connected to the printer is not
required.
• Internet Fax: The document is scanned and emailed as an attachment to a recipient (email
address). A telephone line connected to the printer is not required.
Enabling and Configuring Fax Services
Before you can send a fax from the printer, the system administrator must enable fax services.
