CHECKING THE EXHAUST SYSTEM
The following procedure applies to all of the
muffler assembly and gasket.
1. Remove:
8muffler assembly
Refer to”ENGINE REMOVAL”in chapter
5.
2. Check:
• muffler assembly (T)
Crack/damage -» Replace.
• gasket (2)
Exhaust gas leak -» Replace.
3. Check:
• tightening torque
Exhaust pipe nut (3)
13Nm(1.3m • kg, 9.4ft • lb)
Muffler and rear arm bolt (4)
31Nm(3.1m • kg, 22.4ft • lb)
4. Install:
8muffler assembly
Refer to”ENGINE REMOVAL”in chapter
5.
