RoundRobin(WRR)andDynamicWeightedRoundRobin(DWRR)
queueschedulingmodes.Eightoutputqueuesofaportcanadopt
differentmodesrespectively.
SPSPistostrictlyscheduledataofeachqueueaccordingtoqueue
priority.Firstsendpacketsinthehighestpriorityqueueandafter
that,sendpacketsinthehigherpriorityqueue.Similarly,after
that,sendpacketsinthelowerpriorityqueue,andsoon.
SPschedulingmakespacketsofkeyservicesprocessedpreferen-
tially,thusguaranteeingservicequalityofkeyservices.Butthe
lowpriorityqueuemayneverbeprocessedand"starved”.
WRRWRRmakeseachqueueinvestigatedpossiblyandnot“starved”.
Eachqueueisinvestigatedatdifferenttime,thatis,hasdifferent
weightindicatingtheratioofresourcesobtainedbyeachqueue.
Packetsinthehighpriorityqueuehavemoreopportunitiestobe
scheduledthanthelowpriorityqueue.
DWRRDWRRmakeseachqueueinvestigatedpossibly.Theweightof
eachqueueisdifferent.ThedifferencebetweenDWRRandWRRis
that,theweightvalueofDWRRmeanstheroundscheduledbytes
ofeightqueuesonaporteachtime,initsunitofkbyte;whilethe
weightvalueofWRRmeansthescheduledpacketnumberofeach
queue.Therefore,DWRRdoesnoteffectmuchonbandwidth.
Datapriorityiscontainedinthe802.1Plabel.Ifdataenteringthe
portisnotmarkedwithan802.1Plabel,adefault802.1pvalue
willbeassignedbytheswitch.
PolicyRouting
Redirectingisusedtomakethedecisionagainabouttheforward-
ingofpacketswithcertainfeaturesaccordingtotrafcclassica-
tion.Redirectionchangestransmissiondirectionofpacketsand
exportmessagestothespecicport,CPUornext-hopIPaddress.
Redirectpacketstothenext-hopIPaddresstoimplementpolicy
routing.
Ontheaspectofpacketforwardingcontrol,policy-basedrouting
hasmorepowerfulcontrolcapacitythantraditionalroutingbe-
causeitcanselectaforwardingpathaccordingtothematched
eldintheACL.Policyroutingcanimplementtrafcengineering
toacertainextent,thusmakingtrafcofdifferentservicequality
ordifferentservicedata(suchasvoiceandFTP)togotodifferent
paths.Theuserhashigherandhigherrequirementsfornetwork
performance,thereforeitisnecessarytoselectdifferentpacket
forwardingpathsbasedonthedifferencesofservicesorusercat-
egories.
