• Custom... – If choosing this option, the Image compression setting is displayed on which you
can select from different image formats. Accordingly, further adjustments can be made,
except if PNG or BMP image format is selected.

• Compression
◦ BMP – Lossless uncompressed image format, but larger files due to less effective
compression. It is a raw data file.
◦ PNG – Lossless compressed image format.
◦ JPG – The quality can be set in the value box. Greater values result in better quality, but
larger files. The default setting is 80%.
• Bit depth: 8-bit
• Stitching: Use Stitching function enables the seamless stitching of digital tiles.
• Sharpening: Select this option to improve the visual appearance of digital slides.
• Save focus quality: The measurement of focus quality (correctness of average focus on
layers) is saved. This option is inactive when Extended focus option is activated.
