Warning
During the emission of X-rays, protection procedures for the operator and
personnel in the area must comply with local regulations. In all cases, it is
recommended that only the patient and operator are present in the room during
the emission of X-rays. If the operator is not protected by suitable screens, he
must stand at least 2 meters away from the emission of the rays (
Figure 1
).
Note
When the "Test" key is selected, the Test function is activated. In this condition,
it is possible to make the unit carry out all movements made during the exam
without emitting X-rays.
Test mode may also be useful when the equipment is used on child patients, to
show them how the equipment works before running the exam.
Once the cycle is completed, deactivate the "Test" function by pressing the key
again.
1. Check once again that exposure data are correct. If not, correct them as described
in paragraph 8.7.2; ensure that the equipment's indicator light "Ready for X-rays" (4
- Figure 10) comes on, press the X-ray button for the entire duration of the exposure,
checking the simultaneous working of the "X-rays emission" indicator (both on the
equipment keyboard and GUI) and the acoustic ray signal.
The Digital Acquisition System will, in the meantime, process the image.

At the end of the acquisition, the GUI will be replaced by the acquired image.
