5.9.4 Program Example 3-Sweep Operation and Voltage/Current Measurement
Setting the sweep mode to single, generate DC voltage from 0 V to 3 V by steps of 10 mV by the 6146/
6156, and measures voltage and current by DMM. (Diode voltage and current characteristic measurement)
To prevent the diode from being damaged, set the current limit to 10 mA.
The number of measurement, the limiter activation records, the source values and the measured values are
stored on the Excel sheet.
Connection diagram
Function: Voltage source
Start value: 0 V
Stop value: 3 V
Step value: 10 mV
Step time: 500 ms
Sweep mode: Single
Current limit: 10 mA
Sensing status: Internal (2 W)
DMM: 7351A/E
Measurement function: DC voltage, DC current
Measurement range: Auto
Sampling rate: MED (integration time: 20 ms)
Header: OFF
NOTE: The DMM measurement trigger checks the VIG status in the program. However, as single sweep does
not wait for termination of the DMM measurement when generating voltage, the sweep source timing
may not synchronize with the measurement timing depending on the loaded condition of the computer.
