20. SETTING THE THREAD TENSION AND THREAD DRAW OFF
Athreadtensionchangemaybeneededifthethreadandfabricchange.Thethreadtensioninuencestheappearance
of the buttonhole. It is necessary to use quality threads with little elasticity. Check to be certain all parts that the thread
passes through are smooth and polished with no burrs or sharp edges.
When using lower quality thread it is necessary to exchange the spring with the spare one, which is in the drawer of
the machine.
20.1. By turning the tension knob

clockwise, the top thread tension increases, anti-clockwise decreases.
20.2. By turning the tension knob

clockwise, the bottom thread tension increases, anti-clockwise decreases.
