8. Set the MG3692x or MG3695C output to 7 GHz with an RF output level of –30 dBm.
9. Press the Shift key and then the Sweep (3) key, and then press the Sweep Mode soft key. Select the
Performance soft key to set the instrument to Performance Sweep mode.
10. Press the Amplitude, then the Reference Level keys and use the keypad to enter –10, and then press
dBm.
11. Press Atten Lvl and then use the keypad to enter 0, and then press dB.
12. Press Freq, then Center Freq and use the keypad to enter 7, and then press GHz.
13. Press Span and use the keypad to enter 10, and then press kHz.
14. Press BW, then RBW and use the keypad to enter 100, and then press Hz.
15. Press VBW and use the keypad to enter 30, and then press Hz.
16. Press and hold the Shift key and then press the 9, 5, and 3 keys together to enter the Spectrum Master’s
System Service Mode.
17. Press Frequency Calibration and then press 10 MHz Ref.
18. Use the Up and Down arrow keys or the rotary knob to slowly adjust the displayed signal to the center of
the display. Allow the signal to stabilize between adjustments, and repeat as necessary.
19. Power cycle the Spectrum Master to exit System Service Mode.
If the unit fails the Spectrum Analyzer Frequency Accuracy adjustment, replace the SPA PCB assembly.
Note Before continuing, allow a 30-minute warm up for the internal circuitry to stabilize.
Note
If the above step fails, verify that the MS2720T firmware is greater than v1.10.
Note For large changes, enter the value using the number pad and then press Decimal.
