3-2 Option 31, GPS Frequency Accuracy Verification
The following test verifies the Spectrum Analyzer Frequency Accuracy with GPS (Option 31) in the model
MS2720T Spectrum Master.
Equipment Required for MS2720T with option 709, 713 or 720
• Anritsu MG3692x Synthesized Signal Source (see equipment list for required options)
• Frequency Reference Symmetricom Rubisource T&M
• Anritsu 34RKNF50 50 ohm Adapter
• Anritsu 15NN50-1.5C RF Coaxial Cable
• BNC male to BNC male Coaxial Cable
• GPS Antenna, Anritsu 2000-1528-R
Equipment Required for MS2720T with option 732 or 743
• All of the above, plus
• Anritsu 71693-R Ruggedized K(f) to N(f) Adapter
Setup
Setup Procedure
1. Connect the GPS antenna to the GPS Antenna connector on the MS2720T.

Note
If a fixed GPS antenna is not available, the Anritsu 2000-1528-R GPS antenna can be used for this
test. Ensure that the Anritsu 2000-1528-R GPS antenna is in a direct line of sight relationship to the
satellites or that the antenna is placed outside with no obstructions.
