16. Press the Marker main menu key, select the More submenu key, set Counter Marker to On, select the
Back submenu key and select the Peak Search submenu key.
17. Verify that the marker frequency is within specification (see test record in Table A-1, “Spectrum Analyzer
Frequency Accuracy” on page A-2.)
18. Set the MG3692x or MG3695C frequency to 7 GHz.
19. Set the MS2720T center frequency to 7 GHz.
20. Press the Marker main menu key, and select the Peak Search submenu key.
21. Verify that the marker frequency is within specification.
22. Record the results in the test records in Table A-1.
2-3 Internal Reference Frequency Adjustment
Use this procedure to adjust the frequency if the unit fails the Spectrum Analyzer Frequency Accuracy
verification test.
Equipment Required for MS2720T with option 709, 713, or 720
• Anritsu MG3692x Synthesized Signal Source (see equipment list for required options)
• Frequency Reference Symmetricom Rubisource T&M
• Anritsu 34RKNF50 50 ohm Adapter
• Anritsu 15NN50-1.5C RF Coaxial Cable
• BNC male to BNC male Coaxial Cable
Equipment Required for MS2720T with option 732 or 743
• Anritsu MG3695C Synthesized Signal Source (see equipment list for required options)
• Frequency Reference Symmetricom Rubisource T&M
• Anritsu 34VKF50 50 ohm Adapter
• Anritsu 3670K50-2 RF Coaxial Cable
• BNC male to BNC male Coaxial Cable
Procedure
1. Connect the 10 MHz reference source to the Anritsu MG3692x or MG3695C Synthesized Signal Source.
2. Connect the output of the MG3692x or MG3695C Synthesized Signal Source to the RF In connector of the
Spectrum Master.
3. Connect the external power supply (Anritsu part number 40-168-R) to the Spectrum Master.
4. Press the ON/OFF key to turn on the Spectrum Master.
5. Press the Shift key, the Preset key (1), and then press Preset to reset the instrument to the default
starting conditions.
6. Turn on the 10 MHz reference source and the Anritsu MG3692x or MG3695C Synthesized Signal Source.
7. On the MG3692x or MG3695C Synthesized Signal Source press the System key, then press the key below
Reset to reset the instrument to the default starting conditions.
Note The MS2720T firmware must be greater than v1.10.
Note Do not connect the external 10 MHz Reference to the Spectrum Master.
