46. Record the calculated value (MG3700A.28) in Table A-83, “RF Measurements, Power Level Setting,
Components Characterization” on page A-41.
47. On the MG3700A, turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to the recorded
MG3700A.28 value in Table A-83.
48. On the MS2720T, press the Amplitude main menu key and then press the Adjust Range submenu key.
49. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-84.
50. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS2720T at +28 dBm:
Error = Measured Power –28
51. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-84, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
52. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
53. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0dB.
54. Set power level of the MG3700A to –38 dBm.
55. Calculate the value of the Sensor A reading (PMA 10) for –10 dBm Test Level by using the following
formula:
PMA10 = PMA.10C20
56. Record the calculated value (PMA 10) in Table A-83.
57. Turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of PMA 10 on Sensor A.
58. On the MS2720T, press the Amplitude main menu key and then press the Adjust Range submenu key.
59. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-84.
60. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS2720Tat –10 dBm:
Error = Measured Power – (–10)
61. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-84, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
62. Turn Off the RF output of the MG3700A.
63. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0dB.
64. Decrease power level of the MG3700A by 10 dB.
65. Calculate the value of the Sensor A reading (PMA 20) for –20 dBm Test Level by using the following
formula:
PMA20 = PMA.10C30
66. Record the calculated value (PMA 20) in Table A-83.
67. Turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of PMA 20 on Sensor A.

69. Record channel power reading in the “Measured Power” column of Table A-84.
70. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
71. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of MS2720T at –20 dBm:

72. Record the calculated value in the “Error” column of Table A-84, and verify that it is within the listed
specification.
