14. Remove spring clip from chute rotation rod and
remove rod from chute gears. See Figure 6.
15. Remove chute rotation rod from dash panel.
All Models

16. Remove hairpin, sleeve bushing and cable eyelet from
deflector arm under dash panel.
17. With a pliers, compress cable anchor tabs and remove
anchor from deflector bracket.
IMPORTANT: Reinstall sleeve bushing and hairpin so parts
are not misplaced.
18. Remove chute deflector cable from J-clamp on engine
mount. See Figure 8.
