Ground Operations 3-15
ALTIMETER SETTING
On any IFD that is currently displaying an ADI, the dedicated
“Baro” knob along the right edge of the bezel can be used to set
the system barometric altimeter correction. Regardless of which
IFD the baro setting is entered on, all IFDs will automatically
receive the input. If the PFD pages are not displayed on an IFD,
the “Baro” knob on that IFD is inactive.
Note: Any on-board mechanical altimeters will still need to be
individually set.
COOL FEATURE
FMS Cursor Centered View One of the Map
views available for use on the Map-FPL tab of the
FMS page is “FMS Cursor Centered” mode. It is
accessed the same as the other map views by
pressing the bezel knob to cycle through the
available map views and can serve as a good way
to conduct initial planning and later review. Once in
the view (indicated by the annunciation “FMS
Cursor Centered” overlaid on the map), the map is
centered on the fix surrounded by the FMS cursor.
As the FMS cursor is scrolled up/down the flight
plan, the map center point changes. This allows
you to see close up details of the downpath flight
plan.
