About this chapter
This chapter explains the Scheimpflug principle and when to apply S cheim pflug correction upon y our DP 2K-E series projector. In
addition to the procedure for S cheimpflug adjustme nt the procedure to adjust the Back Focal L ength is also included in this chapter.
Scheimpflug principle
The "plane of s harp focus" c an be changed so that any plane ca n be brought into s harp focus. W hen the DMD plane
and lens plane are parallel, the plane of sharp focus will also b e parallel to these two planes. If, however, the lens
plane is tilted with r espect to the D MD plane, the plane of s harp focus will also be tilted according to geometrical and
optical properties. T he DMD plane, the principal lens plane and the sharp focus plane will intersect in a line below the
projector for downward lens tilt.
