When loading material, the Gate should be adjusted snug to the material, so the Gate rollers
move when turned with a nger but they do not spin freely. Overtightening the Gate on the
material can a󰀨ect the performance of the machine. The Gate should be tightened on the
material so it moves freely within the Gate rollers with no play and minimal e󰀨ort. The Operator
should move material back and forth in the Gate to ensure it moves freely and does not bind.
2.2.5 Gate Bearings
The adjustable Gate components use four bearings. The bearings should roll freely without any
binding. The adjustable Gate component bearings are set at the factory and require no further
adjustment by the Operator.
2.2.6 Gate Rollers
Gate Rollers should spin freely and operate smoothly with minimal play. The Gate Rollers
require no adjustment by the Operator.
The Gate may need to be loosened for out-of-round material.
The Gate will only need to be adjusted when changing material types or sizes.
