Takeoff and Climb (Engine Out)
Condition: before a sensed engine failure and above VNAV activation altitude.
Result: VNAV SPD commands a climb at V2+15 to V2+25 knots. Autothrottle
annunciation is THR REF and the thrust limit is takeoff.

Actual speed reaches
VREF + 78 automatic change
from takeoff thrust limit
to continuous (CON) thrust limit
FMC maintains takeoff thrust and
speed V2 to V2 + 15
V2 + 15 TO V2 + 25
EO acceleration height or first
movement of flap lever
Sensed engine failure
VNAV activates (400 ft. above runway)
400 FT
Note: VNAV page title may be
LIM SPD CLB when target
speed is limited by flap
placard speed.
