FMC Messages
FMC messages indicate: degraded system operation, data input errors, or datalink
status. The messages are categorized as:
Message Level Aural Condition
NAV IRU Advisory Both IRUs are inoperative.
NAV SINGLE GPS Advisory Only a single GPS is operating.
NAV UNABLE
RNP
Caution Beeper The actual navigational performance is not
sufficient.
RWY/APP CRS
ERROR
Advisory The selected ILS course and the FMC
runway course disagree.
RWY/APP TUNE
ERROR
Advisory One of these occurs:
• The tuned ILS frequency and the
FMC runway frequency disagree
• The tuned GLS channel and the
FMC runway channel disagree
SINGLE FMC Advisory Only a single FMC is operating.
SGL SOURCE
APPROACH
Caution Beeper Both pilots’ displays use the same ILS or
GLS source.
SINGLE SOURCE
FD
Advisory Both PFDs and HUDs use the same flight
director source.
TCP ALTN NAV Advisory The tuning and control panel alternate
navigation control is used.
TRANSPONDER Advisory The transponders are failed.

PANEL
Advisory One of these occurs:
• the transponder panel is failed
• TCP backup control of the
transponder is used
WEATHER
RADAR SYS
Advisory The weather radar system is inoperative.

• communications messages
• advisory messages
• entry–error advisory messages
