Valid entries are: VOR, VOR/DME, VORTAC, or DME identifiers from the
navigation database.
Inhibits use of entered navaids for updating by the FMCs.
Entries are blanked at flight completion.
Deleting or overwriting removes a previous inhibit.
Valid entries are VOR identifiers from the navigation database.
Inhibits use of only VOR portion of entered navaid for updating by the FMCs.
DME–DME position updating is not inhibited.
Entries are blanked at flight completion.
Deleting or overwriting removes a previous inhibit.
Push – displays the INIT/REF INDEX page.
Displays frequency of entered identifier when it is a navaid.
Displays longitude of entered identifier.
Displays elevation of entered identifier when it is a navaid, airport, or runway.
Push – toggles VOR/DME updating of the FMC between OFF and ON.
ON (large green font) – allows VOR.DME updating of the FMC.
OFF (large green font) –
• inhibits VOR/DME updating of the FMC
• causes ALL to be displayed at LSKs 5L and 5R
Selection can be set by the airline in the AMI file.
Selection is also displayed on POS REF page 3/4. Selection made on either page
is reflected on both.
Fix Information Page
Four identical FIX INFORMATION pages are used to create waypoint fixes and
waypoints for the ND. Some of the created waypoints can be copied into the route.
The page can be cleared by selecting the ERASE FIX prompt or by using the DEL
key.
