Navaid Inhibit
Note: GPS position updates are allowed for all United States National
Airspace approach operations. Outside of this region, GPS
position updates are allowed during approaches only if the FMC
database and approach charts are referenced to the WGS-84
reference datum. GPS updates should be inhibited for all other
approach operations, unless other appropriate procedures are
used.
To inhibit GPS:
POS REF page ...........................................................................Select
POS REF is the second page of POS INIT.
GPS NAV key ..............................................................................Push
Verify GPS NAV OFF selected.
To inhibit VORs, VOR/DMEs, VORTACs, or DMEs:
INIT REF key ..............................................................................Push
INDEX key ..................................................................................Push
NAV DATA key ...........................................................................Push
To inhibit all VOR/DME data:
VOR/DME NAV key .............................................................Push
Verify VOR/DME NAV OFF selected.
Enter identifiers of specific navaids or VORs to be inhibited on the
NAVAID INHIBIT or VOR ONLY INHIBIT lines.
