Flight Deck Emergency Egress
The overhead door is used for emergency egress in combination with the installed
inertia reels. To access these inertia reels:
• slide the reel stowage latch to the open position
• grasp and remove an inertia reel from the stowage compartment
• inertia reel handle extends (telescopes) automatically when removed from
stowage to allow two handed grasp
• ensure the inertia reel handle is held securely through all egress steps until
safely on the ground
WARNING: Ensure the inertia reel cable is securely fastened to airplane
structure.
