7.3 System Mains Power & Protective Earth Cabling
General Information
The mains power/protective earth (PE) cabling material within the ExacTrac system (supplied by
Brainlab) complies with worldwide harmonized certification “HAR” and dedicated certifications for
the North American/Canadian market.
In cases where the provided certifications are not suf
ficient for installation (e.g., regional
regulatory or local installation aspects), the customer is responsible for providing adequate cabling
material. In this case, refer to the table below for the necessary technical specifications of
Brainlab’s cable material:
NOTE: Not all Brainlab provided cables material is plenum rated.
NOTE: Label the ExacTrac phase input uniquely to avoid misinterpretation among products.

Cabling Plan
You must install mains power and PE cables between the computer cabinet and power distribution
boxes, as well as PE cables between each system component to the PE bar (grounding spot)
according to table 1 ExacTrac cables (beside cables for system interlocks).
