10.2 External Bluetooth Module
General Information
ExacTrac uses a Bluetooth connection for the data communication with Robotics, which contains
an internal Bluetooth module. Additionally, an external Bluetooth module needs to be installed in
the treatment room. The following is a list of the external Bluetooth module specifications:
•
Weight: 0.5 kg.
• Installation: Approximately 2.60 m behind the isocenter on the false ceiling or wall at a height of
about 2.70 m.
• Do not place metal parts between the external Bluetooth module and the Bluetooth antenna
(receiving data) on the foot end of the ExacTrac Robotics.
• The maximum distance from the external Bluetooth module to the foot end of the ExacTrac
Robotics should be 5 m.
• The power supply of the external Bluetooth module will be installed in the “in-room distribution
box”. The cable length is 5 m. Please provide cable conduits.
• The external bluetooth module will be connected to the ExacTrac computer cabinet using a 30
m cross over cable.
• The external Bluetooth module is supplied with the main ExacTrac shipment and can be
installed by Brainlab support. The status LED must remain visible.
