H There’s no sound coming from the
speaker during playback.
The speaker has been turned off with
the selector dial (X 29).
Headphones are being used.
Memory card operations
Problem
Cause and/or what to do about it
H The memory card will not insert.
H The C3 mark flashes red in the
display even though a memory
card has been inserted.
H Nothing happens when I press the
buttons.
H The PHOTO button doesn’t work.
• It is not turned the right way
(1X197). Turn it the right way and try
inserting again.
• Turn the camcorder's power off and
back on again and remove and
reinsert the card if necessary.
• The camcorder is not set to CARD
CAMERA or CARD PLAY
(MV430i: CARD PLAY (VCR))
mode (CO 100, 104).
• The memory card is not inserted
(XI97).
• You are using an SD Memory Card and
it is set for erasure prevention. Change
the position of the protect switch.
• The memory card is full. Erase
images (XI107) or insert a new
memory card.
• The power source is not properly
connected (XI10), or the battery
pack is exhausted or not properly
attached (X 11, 122).
• The function cannot be used in that
recording program (X 54).
• The memory card is not loaded
(X 97).
• You are using an SD Memory Card and
it is set for erasure prevention. Change
the position of the protect switch.
• The memory card is full. Erase
images (X 107) or insert a new
memory card.
• You have reached the maximum file
number. Set the file numbering to
RESET through the menu (X 99)
and insert a new memory card.
