MaterialSafetyDataSheets(MSDS)provideinformation
aboutthechemicalsubstanceswithinaproduct,safe
handlingandstorageprocedures,rstaidmeasures,and
procedurestotakeintheeventofaspilloraccidental
release.MSDSareavailablefromyourdealer.
BeforeyouserviceyourmachinechecktheMSDSfor
eachlubricant,uid,etc.usedinthismachine.Thisin-
formationindicatestheassociatedrisksandwillhelpyou
servicethemachinesafely.Followtheinformationinthe
MSDS,andonmanufacturercontainers,aswellasthein-
formationinthismanual,whenyouservicethemachine.
Disposeofalluids,lters,andcontainersinanenviron-
mentallysafemanneraccordingtolocallawsandregula-
tions.Checkwithlocalenvironmentalandrecyclingcen-
tersoryourdealerforcorrectdisposalinformation.
Storeuidsandltersinaccordancewithlocallawsand
regulations.Useonlyappropriatecontainersforthestor-
ageofchemicalsorpetrochemicalsubstances.
Keepoutofreachorchildrenorotherunauthorizedper-
sons.
Appliedchemicalsrequireadditionalprecautions.Obtain
completeinformationfromthemanufacturerordistributor
ofthechemicalsbeforeyouusethem.
Utilitysafety
Whendiggingorusingground-engagingequipment,be
awareofburiedcablesandotherservices.Contactyour
localutilitiesorauthorities,asappropriate,todetermine
thelocationsofservices.
Makesurethatthemachinehassufcientclearanceto
passinalldirections.Payspecialattentiontooverhead
powerlinesandhangingobstacles.Highvoltagelines
mayrequiresignicantclearanceforsafety.Contactlocal
authoritiesorutilitiestoobtainsafeclearancedistances
fromhighvoltagepowerlines.
Retractraisedorextendedcomponents,ifnecessary.
Removeorlowerradioantennasorotheraccessories.
Shouldacontactbetweenthemachineandanelectric
powersourceoccur,thefollowingprecautionsmustbe
taken:
Stopthemachinemovementimmediately.
Applytheparkingbrake,stoptheengine,andremove
thekey.
Checkifyoucansafelyleavethecaboryouractualpo-
sitionwithoutcontactwithelectricalwires.Ifnot,stay
inyourpositionandcallforhelp.Ifyoucanleaveyour
positionwithouttouchinglines,jumpclearofthema-
chinetomakesurethatyoudonotmakecontactwith
thegroundandthemachineatthesametime.
Donotpermitanyonetotouchthemachineuntilpower
hasbeenshutofftothepowerlines.
Electricalstormsafety
Donotoperatemachineduringanelectricalstorm.
Ifyouareonthegroundduringanelectricalstorm,stay
awayfrommachineryandequipment.Seekshelterina
permanent,protectedstructure.
Ifanelectricalstormshouldstrikeduringoperation,re-
maininthecab.Donotleavethecaboroperator’splat-
form.Donotmakecontactwiththegroundorobjects
outsidethemachine.
Mountinganddismounting
Mountanddismountthemachineonlyatdesignatedlo-
cationsthathavehand-holds,steps,and/ororladders.
Donotjumpoffofthemachine.
Makesurethatsteps,ladders,andplatformsremain
cleanandclearofdebrisandforeignsubstances.Injury
mayresultfromslipperysurfaces.
Facethemachinewhenyoumountanddismountthema-
chine.
Maintainathree-pointcontactwithsteps,ladders,and
handholds.
Nevermountordismountfromamovingmachine.
Donotusethecontrolsoraccessoriesashand-holds
whenyouenterorexitthecab.
Workingatheights
Whenthenormaluseandmaintenanceofthemachine
requiresyoutoworkatheights:
Correctlyuseinstalledsteps,ladders,andrailings.
Neveruseladders,steps,orrailingswhilethemachine
ismoving.
Donotstandonsurfacesthatarenotdesignatedas
stepsorplatforms.
Donotusethemachineasalift,ladder,orplatformfor
workingatheights.
