TheU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA),theCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB),andKUBOTACorpora-
tion(KUBOTA)arepleasedtoexplaintheFederalandCaliforniaEmissionControlSystemWarrantyonyournon-road
engineormarineengine.InCalifornia,new2017modelyearheavydutyoff-roadenginesmustbedesigned,built
andequippedtomeetCalifornia’sstringentanti-smogstandardsadoptedbytheAirResourcesBoardpursuantto
itsauthorityinChapter1and2,Part5,Division26oftheCaliforniaHealthandSafetyCode.Inotherstatesofthe
U.S.A.,newnon-roadenginessubjecttotheprovisionsof40CFR1039subpartAandnewmarineenginessubject
totheprovisionsof40CFR1042subpartAmustbedesigned,builtandequipped,atthetimeofsale,tomeetthe
U.S.EPAregulations.
KUBOTAmustwarranttheemissioncontrolsystemonyourCompressionIgnitionenginefortheperiodoftimelisted
belowprovidedtherehasbeennoabuse,vandalism,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodicationsto
yourengine.ThisemissionwarrantyisapplicableinallstatesoftheU.S.A.,itsprovincesandterritoriesregardlessof
whetheranindividualstate,province,orterritoryhasenactedwarrantyprovisionsthatdifferfromtheFederalwarranty
provisions.ThisemissionwarrantyisalsoapplicableinallprovincesandterritoriesofCANADA.
Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthefuelinjectionsystemandtheairinductionsystem.Also
includedmaybehoses,belts,connectorsandotheremission-relatedassemblies.
Whereawarrantableconditionexists,KUBOTAwillrepairyourengineatnocosttoyou,includingdiagnosis(ifthe
diagnosticworkisperformedatanauthorizeddealer),partsandlabor.
EMISSIONDESIGNANDDEFECTWARRANTYCOVERAGE
Theemissionswarrantyperiodfortheenginebeginsontheoriginaldateofsaletotheinitialpurchaserandcontin-
uesforeachsubsequentpurchaserfortheperiodmentionedbelow.
Ifanyemissionrelatedpartonyourengineisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyKUBOTAfreeof
charge.
1.Fornon-roadengines
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforallenginesratedunder19kW(25Hp)is2000hoursofoperationortwo(2)
yearsofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforconstantspeedenginesratedunder37kW(50Hp)withratedspeedsgreater
thanorequalto3000RPMis2000hoursofoperationortwo(2)yearsofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforallotherenginesnotalreadylistedis3000hoursofoperationorve(5)years
ofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
2.Formarineengines(commercialCategory1)
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforallenginesratedunder19kW(25Hp)is1500hoursofoperationortwoand
ahalf(2.5)yearsofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforallenginesratedatorabove19kW(25Hp)andunder37kW(50Hp)is
2500hoursofoperationorthreeandahalf(3.5)yearsofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
Theemissionswarrantyperiodforallenginesratedatorabove37kW(50Hp)is5000hoursofoperationor
ve(5)yearsofuse,whicheverrstoccurs.
OWNER’SWARRANTYRESPONSIBILITIES
A.Astheengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourKUBOTA
operator’smanual.KUBOTArecommendsthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyourengine,but
KUBOTAcannotdenyawarrantyclaimsolelyforthelackofreceiptsorforyourfailuretoensuretheperformance
ofallscheduledmaintenance.
