1. Thoroughly clean all sealant residue from the
mating surfaces, 1, on the drive module housing.
Inspect the pinion shaft, 2, for wear or damage on
the seal surfaces, and for damage or excessive
wear on the gear teeth or splined bores. Check
the bearing cups and cones for brinelling or ex-
cessive wear.

2. Install a bearing cup into the right side of the drive
module housing, and install a snap ring in the
groove. Support the housing approximately 1/2″
above the work surface on blocks as shown, with
the right side of the housing facing down. Slide
the assembled pinion shaft, 1, into the housing,
making sure the pinion side is down against the
snap ring to orient the drive module for proper
direction of rotation.
3. Install the bearing cup for the upper bearing
cone, 2, into the housing. Place the two spacer
washers, 3, on top of the bearing cup, and install
the snap ring, 4, into the groove in the housing.
