CYLINDERS
The lift cylinder used on the disc mowers is a single
acting cylinder, and is repairable. A screw-in orifice
(0.040″) plate is installed in the inlet port to control the
speed of stroke of the cylinder.
It is possible to rebuild the lift cylinder without fully
removing it from the unit.
DISASSEMBLY
1. Fully extend the cylinder so that the cutter bar is
resting on the ground, and to remove as much
oil from the cylinder as possible. Remove set-
screw, 1.

2. Tap the cylinder head, 1, into the cylinder far
enough to remove retaining ring, 2.
