Figure 9. Measure the cable resistance on the loop-line
2. Verify that the resistance is not above 53Ω.
Values above 53Ω would indicate either:
•
Too long cable length
•
Wrong type of cable
•
Loose connection
•
Cable break (infinitely high resistance)
For troubleshooting, refer to section Test the loop cable, page 40
Maximum loop line cable resistance for the shielded part is 150 Ω.
1. Connect an ohmmeter to the shielded poles on the loop-line.

2. Verify that the resistance is not above 150 Ω.
Values above 150 Ω would indicate either:
•
Too long cable length
•
Wrong type of cable
•
Loose connection
•
Cable break (infinitely high resistance)
