6 Mechanical Installation
6.1 Recommended installation order
Install the fire detection system according to the project drawings in the following
order:
1. Electrical Installation, page 13
•
Cabling
•
Central equipment
2. Mechanical Installation, page 21
•
Control panels
•
Bases, adapters and loop units
•
Set loop unit addresses
6.2 Control panels
CAUTION!
Ensure that the fire detection system is installed in a location that satisfies its
environmental requirements as stipulated in the project drawings.
Install the control module according to the drawings. The ControlM 2.2 is to be
mounted horizontally on a DIN-rail in a suitable electrical cabinet. Separate
drawings are delivered with the system.
The external control panels are delivered in cabinets for wall or console mounting.
Separate drawings are delivered with the system. Install the panels indoors in areas
in 0–95 % RH non-condensing conditions and within a temperature range of -40 ºC
to +70 ºC.
6.3 Loop units
A loop unit is connected to a loop-line.
CAUTION!
Ensure that all loop units fulfill the environmental requirement of the locations
where they shall be installed, as stipulated in the project drawings.
The mechanical and electrical installation of the different types of loop units are
described in their respective data sheets and/or connection drawing.
6.4 Loop Units Installation Guidelines
