7 Pre-commissioning
7.1 Inspection
CAUTION!
Any errors or shortfall may require repeating and correcting some or all activities in
the installation phases.
NOTE!
A suitable checklist

is to be filled in with correct information and sent to your
Consilium office or representative when a technical or service agent is scheduled to
visit for start-up of the fire detection system. This procedure is to be followed in
order to ensure a smooth start-up process and minimize waiting time.
Please make sure the installation meets the following requirements:
Inspect the electrical installation

Main power supply
Check that the Mains power is installed but not connected. Verify that the
voltage and frequency is according to project specification.
•
Emergency power supply (where applicable)
Check that the Emergency power is installed but not connected. Verify that the
voltage and frequency is according to project specification.
•
Internal back-up battery (where applicable)
Check that the Internal back-up battery is installed but not connected. Verify
that the battery type and performance data is according to project specification.
•
External Control panel (where applicable)
Check that the power and communication cable between central cabinet and
control panel is installed and connected according the to project drawing.
•
Repeater panel (where applicable)
Check that the power and communication cable between central cabinet or
control panel and repeater panel is installed and connected according to the
project drawing.
•
Printer (where applicable)
Check that the communication cable between system and printer is installed
and connected according to the project drawing. Check that the power cable is
installed but not connected.
•
External interface (where applicable)
Check that communication cable between system and external interfaces are
installed and connected according to the project drawing.
Inspect the mechanical installation
•
Cabinet exterior
Check the exterior of the cabinet and verify that it has not suffered any
mechanical damages, damage to the paint nor corrosion.
