CAUTION!
If other test methods or test equipment are used, make sure not to damage the
detector.
Test the air-circuit
Test that the air-circuit from inlet to outlet is air-tight.
1 Block the inlet sampling pipe until the detector indicates fault on the system control
panel.
2 Repeat this procedure for the outlet sampling
pipe.
If the detector fails to alarm the
remedy could be to check where the
air-circuit from inlet to outlet fails to
be air-tight.
8.4.3.5 Flame detectors
NOTE!
Use appropriate test equipment, available at your authorised dealer. This is
especially important when testing a detector in a hazardous (Ex-classified)
location/area. See section Approved test equipment, page 49.
CAUTION!
For testing a flame detector in a hazardous (Ex-classified) location/area, please
contact Consilium for consultation.
For instructions how to use the test equipment, refer to the data sheet.
DANGER!
Open flame (cigarette lighter) should not be used for testing in explosive areas.
8.4.3.6 Manual Call Points
CS-MCP, CS-MCP RAIL, CS-MCP WP and CS-MCP WP Ex
The call point can be tested with a special key, included in the delivery.

1 Insert the test key.
2 Release the test key.
3 Reset the call point.
