6. Remove the retaining ring from the shaft in the upper part of the pump, figure 41.
7. Remove the filter from top of the pump and replace it with a plug to prevent the oil leaking
out.
8. Pull the shaft, shown with an arrow in figure 42, towards the can table and remove the top of
the pump from the can table.
9. Remove the retaining ring from the bottom of the pump, see figure 43.
