4.7 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, FUEL COARSE FILTER
A quantity of fuel will escape when
the fuel coarse filter is removed.
Collect the fuel to avoid the risk of
fire.
Removing the fuel coarse filter
1. Place a tray beneath the filter.
2. Remove the cover by turning it
counter-clockwise.
3. Remove the coarse filter (1).
4. Check the seal (2) for damage. Replace t he
seal if it is damaged.
Installing the fuel coarse filter
1. Apply a thin layer of non-acidic grease to
the s eal.
2. Install the cover together with the coarse
filter by screwing the cover on finger-tight.
3. Bleed the fuel system, if necessary. See
“Inspection and adjustment”.
4. Start the engine and check for leaks.
Retighten the filter by hand, if necessary.
