Test the System
TEST THE SYSTEM
START ANY TEST
1. Press the MENU button.
2. Select the
System Setup option.
3. Select the
Diagnostics option.
Note: “Diagnostics” are just “tests.”
4. Select the option for the test you want to do.
Note: If we upgrade the receiver software,we may add new tests.
TEST THE PHONE CONNECTION
1. Make sure you connect a phone line to the receivers back panel
Phone Jack.
2. Select the
Connection option.The receiver
displays a message that asks you to wait until
the test is done.
If the phone connection is okay, the receiver displays a
message that says so.
If the receiver displays a message that
it needs to make a toll-free call to the
Customer Service Center, select the
Dial Out option.The receiver displays
a message that asks you to wait until
it finishes the call. When the receiver finishes the call, select
the
Cancel option.
If you didn’t connect the phone line right, the receiver
displays a message that says so. Check the phone connection
and then do the test again.
Note: If you have a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), you may
need to install a DSL filter between the receiver and the
telephone wall jack, and then do the test again.
